Impact & learning

Meaningful results.
Measured responsibly.

Progress matters. So does clarity about what has happened, what is in progress and what is still a goal.

Evidence before exaggeration

What our current records describe.

The following is a summary of specific project information on the organization’s existing website—not an independently audited impact statement.

Reported participation5

Schools in Eco Champion

Five participating schools are identified in the Makeni Eco Champion project description.

Reported engagement110

Teachers & student leaders

The project describes direct engagement with 110 teachers and student leaders.

Planned output2

Lalehun school installations

Solar energy installations are planned for the community’s primary and secondary schools.

Planned output60

Young people in technical training

The Lalehun initiative targets 60 local youth, with particular attention to young women.

Why the distinction matters

Credibility is an outcome, too.

Earlier versions of the website contain different totals for people reached, trees planted, farmers trained and schools electrified.

Until source records are reconciled, the redesigned website does not display those inconsistent aggregate figures. This avoids presenting a planned activity as a completed outcome or implying independent verification where none is available.

A practical measurement framework

How progress should be tracked.

A clear, small set of measures helps communities and supporters understand what is changing.

Our promise

Listen. Learn. Report. Improve.

We aspire to share progress in language that is understandable to communities, young people and supporters alike.

Measurement must include whose lives are affected—not only what is counted. That means seeking meaningful input from women, people with disabilities, rural residents and low-income communities when appropriate and safe.
