We exist to help communities move from experiencing climate challenges to shaping practical, equitable solutions.
Founded on 25 August 2023, Sunrise Movement Sierra Leone works at the intersection of environmental justice, youth empowerment and sustainable development.
Our work spans schools, community education, climate advocacy, clean-energy initiatives, coastal conservation and partnerships. We prioritize community participation and the leadership of people whose perspectives are often missing from decision-making.
To equip young people and underserved communities across Sierra Leone with the knowledge, resources, partnerships and opportunities to lead practical climate solutions, protect ecosystems, advance environmental justice and build resilient livelihoods.

Intersectionality is more than language. It influences whose needs are recognized, who participates and how outcomes are measured.

Report outcomes accurately, identify uncertainty and use feedback and monitoring to improve delivery.
